The gelo di melone or mellone, also known as gelo d'anguria, is a typical Sicilian jelly dessert consisting of a watermelon pudding served throughout summer. Traditionally prepared on Ferragosto, it is also popular for the Saint Rosalia celebrations in Palermo.
